Music: Variety Dance
The Recliners, hailing from Austin Texas take the traditional "lounge sound" and zoom off into galaxies never explored by Sinatra, Jones, or even Humperdinck. In their three plus years of existence, The Recliners have entertained them all: young or old, tuxedoed or tattooed, debutantes or dirt-bikers.
A Recliner's Recipe: Take the traditional standards from the 1920's to the 1960's, add in newer songs from the 1970's, 80's, and 90's, swing them across the dance floor, then mix in a generous shot of sultry bossa nova and cha-cha rhythms, blend until smoother than a James Bond come-on line, add tasty orginal songs and you're in martini heaven Baby.
By focusing special attention on the audience throughout the event, The Recliners start out mellow with the first dance (usually with lounge or swing music arranged in their own distinctive style) and progress throughout the night into disco mania, covering the gamut with a wide variety of oldies and current favorites.
