Kylie Rae Harris
Okay, so Kylie's a teenager...however.... Kylie Harris has an incredible ear for music and can sing and play like nobody's business. (Maybe it's genetics--- her dad's brother plays pedal steel for Michael Hearne and her great-grandfather played with Bing Crosby's brother, Bob, and the Bobcats.)
Kylie can sing harmonies that make old bluegrass guys, gospel singers, and big-time musicians stop mid-song and grin. She can pick up the guitar and play by ear...really well. She can write a song that sounds different than everyone else's and makes you wonder how she knows about stuff like that.
Even though Kylie wakes up singing every day, she's not the average choir girl. Her voice is honest and true (and big). She's been compared to everyone from Bonnie Raitt to Rhonda Vincent and Kim Richey, but mostly she's just Kylie from Wylie. She's unique enough that even without a real demo, she's performed at venues like Cheatham Street Warehouse, Love & War in Texas, Bill's Records, The Sons of Hermann Hall, Tommy Alverson's Family Gathering, Poor David's Pub, Larry Joe Taylor's Music Fest, and The Old Blinking Light in Taos.
