Jim Shannon’s combines his experience in jazz and classical music along with blues and contemporary music creating a style that is both lyrical and romantic.  The combination of these musical elements make Jim one of the most creative and versatile of guitarists in the world today.

Jim Shannon and Trio Alado

Jim Shannon and Trio Alado consists of Guitar, Bass and Drums. Other instruments can be added including a vocalist, Saxophone, percussion and Piano etc. The music of Trio Alado is exciting, yet subtle and enticing. It has the essence of Swing, Jazz, Blues, Brazilian and contemporary music, plus Jim's exciting original compositions. Jim uses both electric Jazz guitar and, on occasion, acoustic Classical guitar with this group. The trio is always well received with enthusiasm at a wide range of concerts and events.

Duo with Guitar and Sax

The Sax player is a great musician and friend, Mack Goldsbury who returned to the states from a long stint in Europe. There he played with many of the best players too numerous to mention here
