Kaminari Taiko

Founded in 1996 by a number of extremely talented musicians from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, the Kaminari Taiko drummers have developed into a prominent performing taiko group.

The group have honed their skills and learned the fundamental skills, philosophy and the spirit of centuries old Japanese tradition by training under world acclaimed Taiko Masters including Daihachi Oguchi, Seoochi Tanaka, Kenny Endo and Takemasa Ishikura.

The Kaminari Taiko have toured over 20 major cities and performed at over one hundred concerts to live audiences exceeding 150,000 people. Their dynamic show is one that will please young and old alike.
