Linda Stogner is an Emmy award-winning comedian and filmmaker. She currently headlines the popular “Four Funny Females” Stand-up Comedy Tour including a performance at the Eiseman Center. She was a finalist in the Last Vegas Comedy Festival, The Funniest Woman in America Contest and appeared on the Joan Rivers Comedy Special. She has appeared on the Emmy award-winning national PBS series, Life 360, in her autobiographical short, Adopted. She won a national Clarion Award from Women in Communications for the short film. She has performed in the premiere comedy clubs in New York and L.A and is a favorite at the Addsion Improv, She is also the co-founder and a regular performer at the Dallas comedy club, Backdoor Comedy.
As a producer/director/writer/editor, Ms. Stogner has received more than 60 film and television. She recently won four Lone Star Emmy awards for her short docs, “The Chip That Jack Built,” High Hopes” and “Mighty Mites”, and an Emmy for editing. Earlier this year she returned from NewYork with three Gracie Awards for Nowhere But Texas 2 produced for KERA. “High Hopes” won last year’s Chick Flicks Jury Award and Audience Award.
In 2004, she wrote and directed the first PSA produced by Women in
Film Dallas, A Special Place: Gilda’s Club, voiced by Meryl Streep.
The spot received a national Gracie Award for the PSA. She has also
won gold and silver medals from the New York Festivals and the prestigious
Gold Hugo Award.
